Heart and Stroke Walk

On September 28th, 2019, the annual Heart and Stroke Walk occurred at the University of Pacific which allowed to bring awareness to heart disease and strokes. The entire environment was thriving with excitement and positivity through cheerleaders from other schools and performances. The volunteers were able to help set-up the event as well as help clean-up when the event was over. Volunteers from various schools helped move and stack chairs as well as put away tables. Some also dressed up as vegetables to walk around and bring awareness to people that vegetables are healthy for you and allowed children to smile. Others also helped guide those with trash to put it into the right containers and whether or not to recycle certain things. Everyone had a great experience and enjoyed the awareness that was spread!
