Key Club members from Region 16 gathered at Elk Grove Regional Park for the amazing annual event known as Color Splash. Color Splash was a great opportunity to meet new Key Clubbers and create new bonds all around Region 16. Good vibes and positive Key Club energy filled the air when the event began with the iconic “How do you feel” chant. Icebreakers were started, and all the awkward tension people may have felt surely diminished. Fun activities came after. From sack races, water balloon tosses, to hula hoop battles, everyone was eager to win, but the purple team took the victory (not playing favorites because that definitely wasn’t my team). If you chose to donate 10 dollars, you were given an exclusive 2019 Color Splash shirt. The shirts displayed all the divisions in Region 16 along with their mascot. While shirts were being handed out, color packets were being distributed to all the attendees. Everyone gathered around in a huge clump for the event and eagerly waited for the countdown to toss their packet in the air. 3, 2, 1! All of a sudden, there was a huge eruption of color. Everyone left the event with stained clothes and huge smiles on their faces.
